How much will my puppy weigh as an adult?

AKC standard for Shih Tzu’s weight for mature dogs is 9 to 16 pounds. All our adults are between the standard, with a couple of our females just under the standard. We do not breed with smaller sizes as a goal. Your puppy should grow within the standard, but remember, diet, exercise, and home environment all factor into adult weight.

I would like to see Morningstar’s Shih Tzu and their puppies. Is it possible to visit?

Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot allow visitors to our home due to the safety concerns of our children and unvaccinated puppies. We want to make sure our puppies are protected from lethal puppy diseases such as Distemper and Pravo. They have developing immune systems that can not fight off those deadly diseases.
However, we would happily arrange a meeting in a public location once the puppy you are interested in has received their first shots. Please note that a non-refundable holding fee will need to be paid to guarantee the puppy’s availability.
We appreciate your understanding of our responsibility to our children and puppies.
